  • Individual career planning appointments. No matter where you're located - or where you want to pursue or advance your career - your career services advisor can help you find career success. Through career planning appointments - conducted in person, by phone, or via email and/or the Internet - you and your career services advisor will work together to identify your points of marketability, fine tune your resumé, boost your interviewing skills and salary negotiation techniques, and strategize on how to secure interviews.

  • Job leads from top companies nationwide. DeVry has built strong partnerships with many of North America's top companies, which have come to us for qualified candidates to fill open positions. If you're a DeVry student or graduate, you can instantly access hundreds of job leads through hiredevry.com.

  • Valuable online career services tools. Whether you're ready to begin a rewarding career or to steadily advance to positions of greater responsibility and reward, you can hone your skills and begin your search by using the Internet to access invaluable career tools. Use the links on the left to learn what you need to know about career assessment, writing effective resumés and cover letters, interviewing techniques, companies in your field and the employment opportunities they offer, job search engines and salary trends and ranges.

If you're in the early stages of your DeVry undergraduate program, get a leg up on the competition by working closely with your career services advisor to hone your skills and strategies for finding and securing employment before you graduate. Through individual career planning appointments with your career services advisor and DeVry's valuable online career services tools (see links at left), you'll be on your way to landing a career in your field while you're finishing school!

In addition, as an undergraduate student, you'll have opportunities through DeVry Career Services to interface with top employers and build your resumé while you earn your degree:

  • Career fairs. Mutually beneficial to both job seekers and employers, career fairs enable you to meet with numerous companies looking to recruit qualified job candidates. You'll also learn about companies in your local area and make valuable networking contacts.

  • Part-time-job assistance. Many DeVry students work part time to build relevant job skills and help ease the cost of college. DeVry's Career Services advisors can refer you to part-time-employment opportunities that may exist and help you reflect this work experience on your resumé.

  • Co-op/internship programs. Co-op and internship opportunities provide an excellent avenue for building your skills, improving your resumé, establishing networking contacts and "getting your foot in the door" for full-time employment after graduation. Once you've completed approximately half your academic program, check in with your career services advisor to see if you qualify for the chance to apply your new skills and knowledge in a real-world work environment.
